What little by little has added up to.
Numbers are a nice way to measure progress. But behind every number here is a person — a child, a volunteer, a teacher, a home. That's really what this page is about.
The people behind the numbers
R10,000+ isn't just a number
It's blankets, food, and a little more breathing room for a home full of children who didn't choose the situation they're in. It came from dozens of small contributions from people who decided to give what they could.
Every box was carried in by hand
Nappies, clothing, formula, toys — real items given by real people, dropped off in person and handed straight to the home that needed them.
A whole school, freshly painted
At Kleenvrygeestes School, volunteers spent a day turning tired, grey walls into something bright — because children learn better somewhere that feels cared for.
A basket of comfort in a hospital bed
Colouring books, teddies and slime — small things that made a hospital stay feel a little less scary for the children at Red Cross Children's Hospital.
Over 100 people, fed a warm meal
Rice, lentils, soup — ordinary staples, collected and packed by hand, that became more than 100 warm meals for people staying at The Haven Night Shelter.
Sometimes the impact is just showing up
Not every number fits on a spreadsheet. An afternoon spent playing, laughing and being fully present with a child matters just as much as anything we've raised or collected.
The next number starts with you.
Every project on this page began with one person deciding to say yes. That could be you, for whatever comes next.
